Even the packaging of Sequoia is breathtaking (and at its price point, you’d think it would be!). Every menu, option, and control in Sequoia makes you feel like you’re driving a Ferrari. This is a high-end program that makes no apologies for its avant-garde nature. From the very second you open up Sequoia, you realize this is not one of those DAWs. Many DAWs need to scale to a larger user base in order to grasp a large section of the market. I was quite interested to see what my classical and mastering colleagues were so keen for and to find out for myself if a DAW could really be worth that much more than its competitors. When I heard that someone here at Ask.Audio HQ would have a chance to test drive a DAW that retails for just under $3,000 I jumped at the chance. I’ve got a few friends in the classical music recording world, so Sequoia has been on my radar as it’s a ‘fan favorite’ in that world.
